<image:title>projects - Disruption Wall</image:title>
<image:caption>Created during an internship at Shoptology Summer 2017, the goals of the project were to get shoppers to feel good about investing more of their dollars at Walmart by introducing an in-store experience that shows the value of Walmart’s social good initiatives. Get associates to feel good about investing their careers with Walmart. Create a highly visual, highly emotional in-store experience that dynamically reveals over time, how they can come together with Walmart to drive good. Two interactive walls were created that are placed in heavy traffic areas, that allow people to find items, call an associate, and view a variety of other content.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - shopscout</image:title>
<image:caption>During my summer internship working at a design agency called Shoptology, another creative intern and I were tasked with designing a platform for Shoptologists to easily seek, capture, and share inspirational content around where shopping is headed. While Shoptologists often visit various retailers to conduct first-hand retailer recon, sharing that intel back with the broader team is cumbersome – particularly when it comes to photos and visual reference. Shoptologists currently share this visual reference through emails, the server, WorkFront updates, or other forms of communication – usually referenced to a single, specific project, program, or client asks. Beyond the immediate need, this content often becomes all but lost for future reference.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - Latitude Festival</image:title>
<image:caption>Student Work | Created the visual identity for Latitude Festival, a summer music, arts, theatre, and entertainment festival in England. The festival would be discovered through Spotify playlists and promotional posters. Tickets, lineup information, stage guide, trip planning, and festival experience information can all be found on the website. Once the tickets are purchased they will immediately get a download to additional songs by artists that will be at the festival. Tickets will arrive in the mail. In the box is a digital wristband that acts as a ticket, a brochure, poster, and a disposable camera. Digital wristbands get you into the festival, and from there the app can be used to navigate the festival. The app will show where friends are and where the closest open facilities are. The digital wristband can link with Apple Pay to make purchases easier. At the stages, the wristbands will track how much people are moving, and based on that the lights will become brighter. Others can then go on the app and see which stages are exciting for the crowds.</image:caption>

Includes a booklet providing information on Portland, the lifestyle that residents would be able to enjoy living outside the city, as well as the design and benefits of living in a tiny home. Also included are floorplan options and a cutting board take-away that would be perfect for new home buyers, and is small and easily storable, with tiny home living in mind.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - SCAD Lacoste</image:title>
<image:caption>Student Work | A 90-day calendar – from January to March of 2016 – that shows my own experience of the progression of time during and after a two-month study abroad program in Southern France. The month of January takes up the smallest amount of space because it went by the quickest; when I first arrived the time not spent in class was going to new places and exploring the area. By February I had settled into much more of a routine and time seemed to have slowed down just a bit. When the program ended in March, and I went back to my hometown time felt as though it had stopped. March takes up the most space to show how slowly it moved as I got used to no longer being in a new country and no longer visiting new towns and cities. Each day has a different picture that was taken on that day, documenting the places I visited.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - Ender's Game</image:title>
<image:caption>Student Work | Book Cover and typesetting for Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, a science fiction novel set in Earth’s future. The assignment was to take a book with 300 or more pages and typeset it to fit on 150 pages or less. Using a 2 column grid, I was able to bring the 324-page book down to 130 pages. The cover is simple the scattered letters are placed to reflect the obstacles that are found in the battle room where the students train in the novel.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - bank of america atm</image:title>
<image:caption>Student Work | Group project to redesign the user interface and experience for Bank of America ATM users. The decisions were made based on what we discovered through our research, of what people would find most useful. We used a clear interface and thoughtful icons to create an efficient system that is easy to understand, straightforward, functional, and direct. By using friendly language and colors we created an interface that welcomes people in and creates a personal, inviting, upbeat environment that users can trust. The designs have precise attention to detail in elements such as the icon; as well as the placement of the text and other elements. This creates a stylish interface that is stylish and pleasing. By focusing on the user and giving them a visually interesting and functional design we have created an interactive system that is massively improved from the current one.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Student Work | Group project to create a mobile phone app for the card game Exploding Kittens. The smaller screen, slower Internet speeds, any data charges, and distractions present when working with mobile phones were our main design challenges. To solve these there are both online and offline modes available. Alerts to let users to their turn when outside of the app in online mode so that friends aren't waiting all day.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Eggs Up Grill is a restaurant franchise serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch in the southeast. To celebrate the grand opening of Eggs Up Grill’s new flagship location, St. John & Partners was asked to refresh the menu to match the fresh new location. To make the grand opening an event, I created photo props that could be used in front of the restaurant’s large mural for customers and employees to take photos, and invite them to share those on social media to generate awareness.</image:caption>

<image:title>projects - JEA Storm Recovery Guide</image:title>
<image:caption>After the hurricane, Irma in 2017 JEA (Jacksonville Electric Authority) realized they had a problem with a lack of public information on JEA’s process of restoring power to those who lost it. To inform customers about how JEA prepares for a hurricane and the process by which they restore power to areas that lost it, St. John and Partners were asked to create a guide that would walk people through JEA’s operation so that when the next storm hit, everyone would know what to expect. I worked with senior designers to help create this guide and supporting materials that were awarded Silver at Chartwell’s 2019 Best Practices Awards in Outage Communications.</image:caption>
